Draft, last updated October 30, 2026. This is still being reviewed and may change. If it changes in a way that matters, we'll email anyone with a sprint in progress.

The short version: we use your information to run your sprint and nothing else. We don't sell it, we never get your passwords, and we delete your resume and drafts 60 days after your sprint ends unless you ask us to do it sooner.

What we collect

The site has no ad trackers and no analytics scripts. Our host keeps standard server logs, like IP addresses and pages requested, for security.

What we never get

Your Gmail password, your LinkedIn password, or access to any of your accounts. You send everything yourself.

What we use it for

We won't use your information for advertising, and we won't put you on a marketing list without asking.

Who else sees it

Only the services we need to do the work. Each one gets only what it needs.

We don't sell or rent your information to anyone. We'd only share it beyond this list if the law made us, and we'd tell you unless we weren't allowed to.

How long we keep it

Deleting your information

Email hello@fortyletters.com from the address you signed up with and ask. We'll delete it within 7 days and email you when it's done. The only things we keep are the payment records described above. You can also ask for a copy of what we have, or ask us to fix something that's wrong.

The people you email

To find the right person at each company, we use work contact details that are publicly available, like names and titles on company websites. We don't buy personal phone numbers or home addresses. If you got an email from someone using our service and want us to stop including you, email us and we'll remove you from future sprints.

Security

We keep your files in access-controlled storage and limit who can open them. No system is perfect. If something goes wrong that affects your information, we'll tell you quickly and plainly.

Age

This service is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
